An LPG storage tank water-spray system is a specialised fire-protection arrangement designed to cool an LPG vessel during a nearby fire or extreme heat exposure. The system discharges water uniformly over the tank’s external surface, helping control its temperature and reduce the risk of pressure build-up and vessel failure. The installation generally includes a deluge valve, fire-water pipeline, spray headers, water-spray nozzles, isolation valves, strainers, detection devices and an automatic or manual actuation arrangement. When the system is activated, the deluge valve opens and supplies water simultaneously to all connected spray nozzles. Water-spray nozzles are positioned around the LPG tank to provide the required surface coverage. The supporting structure and surrounding piping are designed according to the tank dimensions, fire-water demand, hydraulic calculations and approved project specifications. LPG tank deluge systems are commonly installed at factories, hotels, commercial kitchens, industrial plants, gas-storage facilities, bottling plants and other premises using bulk LPG storage vessels. Periodic nozzle inspection, deluge-valve testing, pipeline flushing and water-flow testing are essential for reliable operation. Shivam Fire Enterprises provides design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of LPG tank water-spray and deluge systems in Pune and nearby areas. We also supply deluge valves, spray nozzles, fire pumps, fire-water pipelines, control panels and Annual Maintenance Contract services.
