An automatic pendent fire sprinkler is a heat-activated firefighting device installed below a ceiling and connected to a pressurised fire-sprinkler piping network. When the surrounding temperature reaches the sprinkler’s rated operating temperature, its heat-sensitive glass bulb activates and releases water directly over the affected area to control or suppress the fire. The sprinkler consists of a threaded body, heat-sensitive glass bulb, sealing assembly, deflector and decorative escutcheon plate.
